Location and history:
According to Macalister, CIIC, this stone "stands beside the grave of one W. Murphy" in the churchyard of Cloonmorris. This may well be the stone displayed in the photographs here, but cf. below.
- Macalister, CIIC (draft).
The inscription is not (yet?) included in Macalister, Epig.
Possibly this is the final part of a name like MAQI-TRENI. R1,2 are lost by "fracture", the -I is "broken and hard to recognize".
Not included in Korolev, DP
There are hardly any Ogham scores recognizable. The presence of a "fracture" cannot be verified unless the stone is dug up.
