Historical Linguistics of Iranian Languages

My main interest lies in the history of modern Iranian languages. I think that understanding the historical development of a language means to understand the respective language better, its dialectal divergence, its relation-ship to other languages.
This is why I link my studies on Middle Iranian, and the analysis of its grammar and its grammatical changes, to the investigation of Modern Iranian varieties.
