NOTA BENE:
1)   The input of the Ist adhyaaya is based on Edition Bahulkar 1990, in: ʽʽVedic Texts: A Revision. Prof. C.G. Kashikar Felicitation Volume'' (Delhi: Motilal Banarsidass).
2)   This re-edition is not free of mistakes, so the editio princeps by Bloomfield (1889) was compared for adhyaaya one, and some mistakes have been tacitly corrected.
3)   All the remaining adhyaayas are based on Bloomfield's edition.
4)   Most (vowel) sandhis have been solved in the suutra portions, and all such changes to the published edition (Bloomfield) are indicated by underscore (_).
5)   The Bahulkar edition dissolves sandhi around mantra quotations, whereas Bloomfield's does not. Bahulkar's text (with implicit sandhi-solution) has been followed in the first adhyaaya. Thereafter, all cases where sandhi surrounding mantras has been solved, are explicitly marked by underscore.
6)   Some emendations have been made by me, and some emendations proposed by Caland, Bloomfield e.a. have been noted, but not yet systematically. All deviations from the published edition are marked with a +. The reading of the edition is always given (in [...]).
7)   Mantras are enclosed in <...>, and identified wherever possible. When no text is mentioned, but only a number, the Mantra is from ŚS.

[For the present TITUS edition, metrical parts were marked especially. ŚS mantras have been referenced explicitly. J.G.]
