Reading Macalister, CIIC:

COVALOTI
1O and I are "worn away".

Interpretation Korolev, DP, 69:

COVALOTI
There is no basis for a dating.

Reading Gippert (1981):

Sinister angle, up:
COVALOT[
омгйвигн[е
ллллввзззвззввллл[ввввв
Macalister's final -I is very doubtful; the reading -LUTI as given on the information plate in Cork U.C. is certainly wrong. At the beginning, a scratch was added in the form of the existing H-strokes so that the first letter appears like a Q at first glance.
