Finding your way
From the airport to town:
The nearest Airport is London-Stansted, from where there are regular direct trains to Cambridge (30min.).
There are also direct trains from London-Gatwick takes (ca. 2h).
From London to Cambridge by train:
The best connection is from King's Cross, where there are trains at 24min. and 54min. past every hour (50min.). King's Cross is also right across the street from St Pancras station, where the Eurostar arrives.
There are also direct trains from London Liverpool Street to Cambridge (1h15).For train times and to book tickets, see National Rail.
Tickets can also be bought from the machines in the stations.
A return ticket is much cheaper than two separate ones.

Public transport inside town is somewhat poor, although there are buses, see here and here.
Mostly it's more practical to walk, rent a bike or take a taxi.
