Verse: 5     "Ih gíhu", quad er, "in íuih   \   (tház ir hortut quédan mih,
Verse: 6     ni ságen iz nu ouh thes thiu mín),   \   tház ih selbo Kríst ni bin.
Verse: 7     Ih bin selbes bóto sin,   \   fora imo ist bótoscaf ouh mín,
Verse: 8     thaz ih fon niwíhte   \   then liut zi wége rihte.
Verse: 9     Ther brút habet, in war mín,   \   ther scal ther brútigomo sin,
Verse: 10     joh héltit er thia mínna   \   bi sina drútinna.
Verse: 11     Sin fríunt thar thés fartes   \   steit, lóset sines wórtes,
Verse: 12     joh hórit er mit mínnu   \   thes brútigomen stimnu.
Verse: 13     Er wíhtes ni firséchit   \   thes ér mo zua gispríchit,
Verse: 14     húgit iogilicho   \   zi theru stímmu fráwalicho.
Verse: 15     Theist thaz mínaz heila múat   \   joh óuh min fréwida so gúat,
Verse: 16     in ímo sint mir fóllo   \   thia mina fréwida allo!
Verse: 17     Er scal wáhsan thrato   \   sínes selbes dáto,
Verse: 18     thaz mínu werk suínen   \   ingegin kréftin sinen.

Verse: 30     joh géb imo al zi hénti,   \   zi síneru giwélti.
Verse: 31     Ni mízit er ímo sinaz gúat,   \   so er uns súntigon duat,
Verse: 32     er ímo thaz giméine,   \   then sinan géist deile;
Verse: 33     Want ér sin selbes kínd ist:   \   thaz imo allíebesten íst
Verse: 34     (giwísso ságen ih iu tház),   \   thaz gíbit er imo allaz álangaz.
Verse: 35     Ther mán sih thaz gilérit,   \   thia gilóuba in ínan kerit --
Verse: 36     giduat er húgu sinan   \   in éwon filu blídan;
Verse: 37     Themo avur tház ni gidúat,   \   quimit séragaz muat,
Verse: 38     joh wónot inan úbari   \   gotes ábulgi!"
