XXIII. DUXIT PILATUS JESUM DERISUM AD POPULUM.


Verse: 1     Pilátus giang zen líutin   \   sid tho thésen datin,
Verse: 2     wólt er in gistíllen   \   thes ármalichen wíllen.
Verse: 3     "Hera úz", quad, "léitu ih inan íu,   \   thaz ir kénnet in thíu
Verse: 4     thaz ih úndato   \   ni fíndu in imo thráto."
Verse: 5     Giang Kríst tho in themo gánge   \   mit rótemo gifánge,
Verse: 6     bithúrnter joh bifílter   \   joh sus gibísmeroter;
Verse: 7     Púrpurin giwáti   \   drúag er tho bi nóti,
Verse: 8     thúrnina coróna:   \   gidán was thaz in hóna.
Verse: 9     "Séhet", quad er, "nu then mán:   \   firdamnot íst er filu frám!
Verse: 10     ir séhet sina únéra,   \   waz wóllet ir es méra?
Verse: 11     Biscóltan ist er hárto   \   joh hónlichero wórto,
Verse: 12     ouh sinero úndato   \   giréfsit filu thráto;
Verse: 13     Ér ist", quad, "bifíllit,   \   mit thórnon ouh bistéllit;
Verse: 14     nú man imo súlih dúat,   \   nu lazet kúelen iu thaz múat!"

Verse: 22     mit alten nídes wíllen;   \   ni móhtun sie in gistíllen:
Verse: 23     "Er scal irstérban thuruh nót,   \   so wízod unser zéinot,
Verse: 24     joh dówen sinen wórton   \   in thérero manno hánton;
Verse: 25     Wanta ér gikundta hérasun,   \   tház er si selbo gótes sun,
Verse: 26     joh ubar ál in wari   \   so det er súlih mari.
Verse: 27     Ther wízod lerit tháre,   \   in crúce man then háhe,
Verse: 28     so wer so in úrheize   \   sih súlihes biheize."

Verse: 31     "Gidua mih sár nu", quad er, "wís,   \   wanana lántes thu sís,
Verse: 32     wélichera gibúrti,   \   thaz thu io zi thísu wurti."
Verse: 33     Er stuant, suígeta   \   joh mámmonto githágeta;
Verse: 34     sínes selbes thúlti   \   ni gab imo ántwurti.
Verse: 35     "Ni wildu spréchan", quad er, "zi mír?   \   ni wéistu waz ih ságen thir, *
Verse: 36     thaz stéit thaz thinaz énti   \   in mínes selbes hénti;

Verse: 40     ther kuning hímilisgo in wár   \   themo hérizohen thar:
Verse: 41     "Ih ságen thir, thaz ni híluh thih:   \   giwalt ni hábetistu ubar míh,

Verse: 43     Bi thíu ist mit méren sunton   \   ther míh gab thír zi hánton,
